2022 Topps Baseball

I finally got my hands on a hanger box of 2022 Topps Baseball and am pleased with the number of cards included for the price.  The local big box retailer has received a steady shipment of cards these last two months, yet collectors and speculators are clearing out the shelves within a few days.  Last night I was at Target and there were 4 dudes and a lady, all middle aged, swarming the card section.  Nevertheless, cards can still be found if you know where to look.

Featured here are the Padres cards I received.  Chris Paddack is pumped after a strikeout, however, he subsequently get traded to the Minnesota Twins. 

Manny Machado hangs some bling on Fernando Tatis Jr. after hitting a grand slam.  Unfortunately Fernando was busted for steroids and is on an 80-game suspension.  We won't see him until the 2023 season.

Jake Cronenworth has been a solid player and I hope he makes it a career here in San Diego.  However, it wouldn't surprise me if he gets traded to a more solid team.  I still remember when he did the floss in the dugout during his rookie season.

Here's one of Joc Pederson that I'm adding to the PC.  This guy has fire in his belly!

There were five inserts on the Stars of MLB that included Jose Altuve (Houston Astros), Francisco Lindor (New York Mets), Xander Bogaerts (Boston Red Sox), Trea Turner (Los Angeles Dodgers), and Ozzie Albies (Atlanta Braves).  The Ozzie card is a Topps Chrome version.

The final three inserts were a 1987 Topps Baseball Series Two Mike Yastrzemski (San Francisco Giants), a Generation Now Ronald Acuna Jr. (Atlanta Braves), and a Gold Parallel​ Ryan Feltner (Colorado Rockies).
