Baseball
America's favorite pastime didn't knock on my door until I hit my 40's. I rooted for the Los Angeles Dodgers as a kid living in Long Beach, CA, and enjoyed collecting baseball cards as a kid. However, the San Diego Padres is my local team now and I've been rooting for them ever since I got back into the hobby. That's not to say I don't have favorite players from other teams. PadresThe San Diego Padres became an MLB team in 1969 and has included many of Baseball's greatest players like Trevor Hoffman, Tony Gwynn and now Fernando Tatis Jr. I had the luxury of having season passes back in 2017 and it was fantastic! Entering Petco Park with other fans, eating good food, and relaxing to America's favorite pastime. The San Diego Padres is my favorite team!

Adrian GonzalezA clutch hitter and local favorite, Adrian Gonzalez always took to the plate with a commanding performance. He graduated from Eastlake High School, about 2 miles down the road, and played for a variety of teams including the San Diego Padres from 2006 - 2010.

Buster PoseyBuster Posey is the clean-cut kid who was a sold catcher and hitter. Always working at improving his swing, my favorite career highlight was when he was at bat, took a swing, and the bat flew out of his hands and got stuck high up in the safety net.

Jedd GyorkoJedd Gyorko was one my favorite modern era players for his down-to-earth attitude, business-like approach at the plate, and fantastic plays on the infield. I truly enjoyed seeing him at bat, holding the lumber up high with the readiness to swing and clobber the ball into the stands.

Joc PedersonJoc Pederson has power and it shows whenever he's at bat. He's a solid player with fire running through his veins. His celebratory antics are just as entertaining as his ball playing!

Tony GwynnTony Gwynn was such a great baseball player, hitting .338 during his 20 years with the San Diego Padres and making it to the Hall of Fame in 2007. Although he passed at a young age, his persona can still be felt around Petco Park and in the Padres community.
